The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King shared a cryptic post about supporting “human rights” after losing custody of her three children to her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds.
“Big fan of human rights,” read a photo King, 41, shared on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, Nov. 23, tagging the location as Kirkwood, Missouri.
Us Weekly was informed on November 19 that King had lost custody of the three children she shares with Edmonds — 8-year-old daughter Aspen and 7-year-old twin boys Hart and Hayes — after an investigation by Child Protective Services.
Several sources told Us that the decision was made in recent months, but the former Bravo star retains supervised visitation rights with the minors. Edmonds, 55, has sole physical custody of the three children.

A source told Us that the decision is temporary pending a hearing to determine whether the custody arrangement will become permanent. A hearing is scheduled for December to determine further custody arrangements. (Edmonds declined to comment Us last week, while King did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)
King and Edmonds were married from 2014 to 2019. Edmonds filed for divorce from the former reality TV star in October 2019, one day after the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary. The ex finalized their divorce in 2021, and Edmonds married his current wife, Courtney O’Connorin September 2022.
King and her ex have had a tumultuous relationship over the years. The last time the police were called to Edmonds’ home in Missouri was the following May RHOC alum is alleged entered the couple’s residence without permission.
Then King told the officers Edmonds had been ’emotionally abusive’ towards her, something he denied in a statement to Us in September.
“As usual, Meghan tells stories. She and Jim barely communicate, so if anyone is emotionally abusing her, it’s not Jim,” a rep for the former baseball center said. Us.
“Jim is an active and present father to all of his children. The unfortunate part of all of this is that the children are the ones who suffer the most. Jim has always been willing to co-parent in a respectful and productive way, but Meghan has yet to respond,” the rep added.
RHOC star Tamra judge58, some time ago weighed in on the news by King loses custody of his childrencaptioned an Instagram post, “Thoughts and prayers ❤️ you are an amazing mom.” (King and Judge shared the screen from seasons 10 to 12.)
Colleague RHOC alum Kelly Dodd reacted to the news in a TikTok video, calling King “an excellent mother.”
“I’m just praying that she gets her kids back,” Dodd said. “Everyone, just pray for Meghan and her family. Those boys and that daughter need their mother. They need their mother, and it’s horrible what’s going on right now.”
King was a full-time Housewife between 2015 and 2017 and also made guest appearances on the show. She informed her RHOC departure in a January 2019 blog post, writing, “Today is a bittersweet day for me. After three seasons of the roller coaster that is The Real Housewives of Orange CountyI’ve decided to hang up my OC Housewife hat.”
“I’ve done soul sisters in Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge and that can’t be lost,” she wrote at the time. “They have touched my heart and I would do anything for them and I know they feel the same way about me – what a gift to have found that on RHOC!”
