The government is pledging another $235 million in funding Ukrainewith the Minister of National Defense David McGuinty and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand announcing Canada’s latest commitments.
McGuinty says Canada will work with NATO allies to buy a package of critical military capabilities from the United States worth about $500 million.

Canada’s contribution to the Priority List of Conditions package for Ukraine will be CAD 200 million.
At a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, Anand announced $35 million in funding for NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine.
A Global Affairs Canada press release said the funding will enable NATO to provide Ukraine with medical supplies, personal protective equipment, communications tools, training, logistical support and support measures to improve Ukraine’s interoperability with NATO forces and restore critical defense infrastructure.
A Global Affairs Canada press release said Canada has committed nearly $22 billion in funding to Ukraine from 2022, including $6.5 billion in military aid to Ukraine through 2029.
