MLS Cup 2025: Who is playing Inter Miami in the final?
The Vancouver Whitecaps will face Miami after a 3-1 win in San Diego, where USMNT international Brian White scored twice.
After signing the legendary Bayern Munich and German striker Thomas Mรผller in August, Vancouver finished second in the Western Conference, tied for points with San Diego at the top of the table.

The match will be played at Miami’s Chase Stadium, which has a capacity of 21,500 and opened the year the club joined MLS, 2020.
Only Charlotte, Philadelphia and San Diego scored more home points during the MLS regular season than Miami, which won 11 and lost three of 17 league games there.
In addition to the win over New York City, Miami also defeated Nashville 3-1 and 4-0 at Chase Stadium during the first round of the playoffs.

Miami hosted Nashville in the first round, which completed the double over with a 5-2 road win on the final day of the regular season, winning the third and deciding the game between the teams 4-0 with the help of two goals from Messi.
Messi scored again as they beat Cincinnati 4โ0 in the semi-finals. They then defeated New York City to reach the MLS Cup.
Messi and his team-mates suffered a shock in their first tie last season when they came out on top as Supporters’ Shield winners, but were knocked out by ninth-placed Atlanta United despite winning the opening match between the teams.

This season, Miami lost 3-0 at the Seattle Sounders in the League Cup final and were beaten 5-1 on aggregate by the Whitecaps in the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinals.
They lost 4โ0 to Paris Saint-Germain in Atlanta in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup and finished third in the Eastern Conference, on points with Cincinnati and one behind the Philadelphia Union.
